For Participants of Paid Weight Loss Study
Of all the conditions a human being must endure, obesity can be one of the most frustrating to live with on a daily basis. Learn why to participate in a paid weight loss study. While a debilitating state of being, it is not looked upon as a disease like most other types of illness sick individuals might suffer from. Some who suffer from obesity might actually need to relate to an outcome of another more serious condition such as depression or other types of mental illness or dysfunction. While what we see on the outside is a person grossly overweight and attempt to treat the weight problem, what we do not see on the inside is what the internal triggers are that affect this human being on a daily basis and drive one to over-consumption of calories and remain often times inactive–producing the outcome of obesity. As in any human condition, we must treat the illness and not simply the latent effects of the illness. For example, if you got a rash on your skin it would be your goal to treat the rash as to not develop into something more. But the real underlying question that needs to be resolved medically would be to determine what internal condition happened within the body to produce the skin irritation, if there was no environmental condition to blame (allergy to jewelry or soaps, lotions etc.)
The reasons that a person might become and remain obese are as vast as what makes up the human personality and spirit in general.
It is so difficult for most people to self-analyze. Why are you fat? Do you know? Do you understand you simply have a love for food that you can’t control? Do you get any exercise or do you remain inactive? Some people become overweight after injury, when they find themselves immobile after surgery or simply due to chronic pain that allows them restricted movement. Others find that they simply feel bad. Bringing a high calorie food to the couch to consume while hours of television pass without notice is just a part of everyday life. Sadly in our high-tech society, we can have “friends” we enjoy online and interact with while never having left the chair. We can “work” from home now easier than ever before. For some who might enjoy financial independence or retirement, you have no problem filling your days with television. With so many choices in television channels today, you can feel as though you’ve lived a full life and interacted with people, shopped and gathered knowledge about the world without walking outside your door. For a person who is structured and knows boundaries this is a blessing. For one who gets lost in a lack of structure–this is the kiss of death, capable of bringing one to inactivity, depression, obesity and other mental illness derived from simply not going out into public and experiencing vital nutrients necessary for mental health given freely from the sun.
